Erin Lynch

Erin Lynch is a versatile, multi-disciplinary graphic designer, writer, illustrator, and educator. He is a design enthusiast-driven by a voracious appetite for learning.

Erin has worked on print, web and industrial design projects individually or as part of a team for local, regional and international clients. A shortlist of these clients include Intel, The University of California, Washington State University, Nike, Portland Public Schools, Oregon Tourism Board, Gearbox Studios, Wendy’s, Oil Can Henry’s, Accompani and many others.

His design work has been covered in an array of online and print publications including Computer Arts, Net Magazine, Smashing Magazine, Helvetica Awards, Fiber Arts, Portland Monthly, Willamette Week, et al.

Erin has written professionally for a variety of online publications, including AIGA, A List ApartBoing Boing, and Digital Trends. He has also held various editorial positions during his career. A selection of his published work can be seen on his personal site. Erin writes about the field of design, design criticism, and loves interviewing individuals in the design and technology space.

He has held adjunct faculty positions at the Art Institute of Portland where he taught graphic and web design. He has conducted workshops and written curriculum for several traditional and non-traditional educational platforms. He is currently working with Clark College’s Digital Media Arts unit teaching professional practices classes to new designers.

Erin founded Shop after working for more than a decade in ad agencies, design studios, and the private sector. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Design and attended Savannah College of Art and Design where he took a Masters Degree in Graphic Design.
